I am excited to announce that my patients for robotic assisted hip and knee replacement will no longer have to travel to Manchester for their surgery! BMI The Beardwood Hospital have invested in this technology and it is available from this November. The MAKO robotic arm process allows for 3D personalised CT based planning and the accurate reproduction of that plan at your surgery. Evidence suggests patients recover quicker, have less pain and the joint replacement feels more normal when compared to a traditional replacement.
